Neurotheory Seminar - Friday at 11:30 AM in the 7th Floor Conference Room of the Kolb Annex.

Neurobiology and Behavioral Seminar - Thursday at noon in the Alumni Auditorium of the Neurological Institute.

The Basic Sciences Weekly Calendar is a list of all of the scientific talks occurring on the health sciences campus.


Lab Meetings and Journal Clubs

Lab meetings currently are currently scheduled for every Thursday at 1:30PM in the 7th Floor conference room. Sandwiches (and cookies) are served.

Ken Miller and Randy Bruno lead the Circuits Journal Club, which meets most Tuesdays at 4:00 PM in the fifth floor conference room of the Hammer Research Building.

Our center is part of the Department of Neuroscience here at Columbia, as well as part of the Swartz Foundation.

We are located in the Columbia University Medical Center.

Many members of the center are post docs.

Most of the graduate students are earning their PhD from the Doctoral Program in Neurobiology and Behavior.

Some graduate students are earning their PhD's from the departments of Applied Mathematics, Bioengineering, Biology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, and Psychology.

There are often interesting talks at the New York Academy of Sciences.

We go to lots of conferences, including Neuroscience, Cosyne, and CNS.

The Nature Network maintains a pretty good list of science going on in and around New York City.

Many of our models are built with Matlab, which has an extensive list of functions.
